Coming To Aspen in 2009 -

Disabled Israeli Soldiers to Learn to Ski

UJA will again be supporting the program in 2009 that began in 2008

For a week, 10 disabled Israeli soldiers and victims of terror came to the Valley to enjoy the beautiful mountains thanks to a special partnership of Challenge Aspen and Chabad Aspen, with major support from United Jewish Appeal Aspen Valley.

Most people who live here consider the mountains a regular part of life in the valley; Imagine the joy it will bring to a person who has undergone traumatic and disabling events in their life.

Additional Funds will help support this very worthy program. If you are interested in donating, please call 970.704.1827.

Journey to the Jewish Homeland
as a new Bar/Bat Mitzvah

UJA Aspen Valley provides a $1000 Travel to Israel Certificate for all Bar and Bat MItzvahs in the Valley through an approved program. This certificate is good until age 21.

For Jewish families, Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies are remarkable, life-affirming events.

This life cycle event provides a wonderful opportunity to publicly welcome a new Jewish adult into the community, to affirm a family’s commitment to ongoing Jewish living and study, and to gather relatives and friends from everywhere to join in the simcha (celebration).
