Jewish Film Series Kicks Off

With Summer winding down, it's time to think about what we're all going to do in September.

And what is more appropriate for the Aspen Valley than a Jewish film series !!

UJA Young Leadership has put together a stellar group of timely, modern films that you will find extremely fascinating, intellectually challenging, and thoroughly enjoyable

Thursday, September 20 - "Only Human"

This zany comedy in Meet the Parents fashion is a cautionary tale of bringing home that special someone. Leni's family is a handful: there's her blind grandfather, the belly dancer sister with a 5-year-old daughter, the brother with a new found relationship with religion, the pre-menopausal mother and the estranged father. Leni brings her fiancé, Rafi, to meet the family, but all chaos ensues when the Jewish clan discovers he's Palestinian.

Her intense, tenacious and sometimes ironic obsession with finding the beloved sofa provides a glimpse into her culture and why this particular piece of furniture means so much.
